Abul Kalam Azad, FCA (184)
Having completed Graduation in Commerce under University of Chittagong, Mr. Azad started pursuing Chartered Accountancy course and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1978 from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh. Mr. Azad has remarkable work experience throughout his career and he has been working as an independent auditor and public accountant for about 39 years. He has been the founding Principal of Azad Abul Kalam & Co, Chartered Accountants as a sole practitioner since 2009. Before that he was one of the founding partners of Azad Zamir & Co, Chartered Accounts, that started professional Practice back in 1984. He is the veteran having vast experience with specialization in conducting and supervising statutory and non-statutory audit, Taxation and Advisory Services and corporate matters in a large number of manufacturing, trading and various other form of entities. As a Chartered Accountant in practice he gained wide experience in preparation and maintenance of accounts, improvement in financial management system, providing business advisory services etc. One of the remarkable work done by Mr. Azad was preparation and introduction of Accounting Manual for Bakharabad Gas Systems Ltd and imparting training to the concerned staffs for its proper implementation. Immediately after qualification as Chartered Accountant, Mr. Azad worked as Audit Supervisor and Manager at Howladar Yunus & Co, Chartered Accountants for 6 years where he gained extensive expertise and proficiency in working for large industries under sector corporations, banks and financial institutions, various manufacturing and trading companies.

Md. Giash Uddin, FCA (497)
Mr. Md. Giash Uddin completed his Hon’s and Masters in Accounting from the University of Dhaka obtaining first class in both the examinations. Before that he secured positions in the merit list in both SSC and HSC examinations under the Comilla Board. Mr. Giash, a fellow member of ICAB, qualified as a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) in 1985 in his first attempt and was awarded ICAB medal (Silver) for securing top position in his first attempt. Immediately after CA qualification he decided to go into service first. Mr. Giash started service with Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation (BCIC), a sector corporation under the Ministry of Industries Govt. of Bangladesh. He joined BCIC as a Deputy Chief Accountant, immediately after CA qualification. Afterwards, he moved to private sector (Federal Insurance Co Ltd), government company (Essential Drugs Co Ltd), publicly listed company (PRAN-RFL Group), multinational company (Novartis Bd Ltd), Govt owned and international development agency assisted company (Social Marketing Company) and business conglomerates having international standard healthcare and education. After a continuous service in responsible progressive management positions for about 37 years Mr. Giash finally took retirement on 28 February, 2023 from the position of Chief Financial Officer of STS Group (owner of Apollo Hospitals Dhaka-currently Evercare Hospital, International School Dhaka-ISD, DPS STS School Dhaka and Glenrich International School). Mr. Giash throughout his long career, gained wide experience in all facets of financial management, planning & control, budgeting, corporate legal matters, company secretarial functions, corporate financing, internal audit, cost & budget, project preparation and approval, corporate taxation etc.
